Bluetooth Technology
Bluetooth® hearing aid technology is one of the advancements we’ve seen in the last couple of years. This technology has been invaluable to our hearing-impaired patients, as they are now able to adjust their hearing aids from their smartphones, receive phone calls through their hearing aids, and listen to audio through their hearing aids via Bluetooth!
This Bluetooth technology was first introduced by GN ReSound in their “Made for iPhone*” (MFi) LiNX hearing aids a few years ago. Phonak now has this available for both iPhone and Androids. Almost all hearing aid manufacturers are now offering this technology.

Hearing Aid Accessories
All hearing aid companies offer a line of wireless accessories that are compatible with their hearing aids. These accessories are designed to work with the hearing aids in difficult listening situations, when the hearing aids alone aren’t enough. Examples include accessories for phones, microphones, television, and more.
Phone Accessories
This device allows you to stream phone calls directly through your hearing aids. This provides clear hearing ability on the phone, as the person’s voice is being amplified by your specific hearing aid settings and going directly into your ears. Phone accessories also allow you to mute background noise and have a conversation hands-free.
Microphone Accessories
This device is designed to clip onto the clothing of the person you are trying to talk to, so you can hear their voice louder and clearer, especially in background noise. It is ideal for one-on-one conversations and helps the listener focus on better hearing and speech understanding. Some microphone accessories also have built-in auxiliary ports, telecoils and direct-audio-input options.
TV Accessories
This device plugs into the back of your television and directly streams the audio from the television into your hearing aids. Through this accessory, you will hear a louder and clearer signal from the television and you have the ability to set the volume to your personal preference.
