Hearing Services for Children

Early identification is crucial

The most critical period for speech and language development is the first two and a half years of life. Unfortunately, hearing loss in this age group can go undetected. With early identification and confirmation of hearing loss, intervention can begin immediately, giving the child the best opportunity for academic, interpersonal and social success.

Exploring all options for your child

Rocky Mountain Ear Center, P.C., supports families of children with hearing loss by providing parents with information regarding the severity of their child's hearing loss, a full range of state-of-the-art amplification choices, and discussion of all communications options.

We realize how difficult it is to decide on the best interventions for children with hearing loss. Before you can make a decision, it is important to understand all the options. Our job is to do just that.

Services provided include:

  • Medical evaluation and intervention by a fellowship-trained otologist, Dr. David C. Kelsall. Learn more about Dr. Kelsall's experience and credentials.
  • Complete audiological assessments including ABR and OAE testing by pediatric audiologists. Meet our audiologists.
  • Amplification options including state-of-the-art heaing aids and assistive listening devices.

Hearing loss does not need to be an isolating condition. At Rocky Mountain Ear Center, we put families of infants newly diagnosed with hearing loss in contact with other families, support groups and the full range of associated health care providers. This network provides reassurance, guidance, and support. Working as a team, we can provide the best possible outcome for the family and child.
