Auditory Brainstem Response (ABR) Test

The ABR test will help us determine if there is anything obstructing or interfering with the transmission of an auditory stimulus from the ear to the lower brain. You will be asked to relax in a reclining chair while you listen to a loud clicking sound through an earphone. Small receiving electrodes are taped to the scalp, which pick up responses to the sound from the brain.

Please refrain from wearing any base makeup or excess lotion. Otherwise, there are no special preparations required for this test. This test takes approximately one hour.

NOTE: Please notify our office (303)783-9220, at least 24 hours in advance of a cancellation is necessary. Failure to do so will result in a $100.00 charge. Please keep
in mind that our schedule is booked approximately 2-3 weeks in advance.
